So far, Sony has not announced the actual release date of the PlayStation Vita. We know that they may release it towards the end of 2011, but are they really going to release a PS Vita outside of Japan before 2012 is technically still unclear.
If leaflets from Blockbuster (rental company in America) in the picture above right, shows that the PS Vita release in the UK at least before 2012. The leaflets, which were sent to IGN, saying that both versions of Wi-Fi and 3G of the latest Sony gadgets will come out in Britain on October 28.
Sony has been contacted for confirmation, but everything they say at IGN is that they are planning a 'global release of a gradual' for PS Vita on this holiday season. So, although Blockbuster reported to be bankrupt, it seems they've done one good thing: exposing the release date of the hardware long before the manufacturer is ready to launch officially.
Keep in mind that these dates are not confirmed, PS Vita release on the same day with Battlefield 3 in the UK (which seems like a stupid idea). However, on October 28 seems pretty good to plan vacations during the planned release of Sony. We'll wait.
